Maths
In Maths this week we have been leaning about rounding to check our answers, then we solved some word problems and decided which calculation to use.

History
We have started learning about the Spanish Armada, we began by drawing a timeline of the events, then using atlas' we marked out the route that they sailed across. We found out that they started in Lisbon and then ended up back in Spain.

PE
In PE we performed our Tudor dances and we were filmed. We performed them to Greensleeves.

English
In English this week we have been learning about instructions. We have played card games and evaluated the instructions, we then went on to create our own games and wrote instructions on how to play them. We then had a chance to play each other' games.

Art
In art we continued painting our Tudor portraits, look out next week for some finished pieces.

Maths
This week in maths we have been doing the column method, both addition and subtraction. We have had Flugtag (German event where people fly their homemade, human powered, flying machines) as the theme.we have been adding and subtracting numbers from 1000 to one million.

English
This week in English we've been writing our own cinquain poems ( they have 5 lines, a syllable pattern and do not rhyme). We based them around autumn and Tudors. We also looked  at instructions and the key facts about them. We also played some card games and then assessed them to see which instructions were the best.

Art
In art we have started our Henry VIII paintings on canvas and making skin colours, it is very tricky.

French
In french this week we did Rigolo and looked at numbers to ten and instruments, it was fun and we all enjoyed it.

Spelling
In spelling we have been looking at the spelling pattern -able and the silent 't' sound. We have been doing different activities.

Dance
In Tudor dance we have been putting all our moves together and getting them in time to Greensleeves, which has not been easy. We are now going to film our dances.
